"I love reading through lengthy, boring PDFs when completing training" - Said no one ever!
The challenge with this Articulate Storyline project was to take a training that was previously a PDF document and weave storytelling to make it engaging, interactive, and informative.
Working closely with subject matter experts, we identified the goal of reducing injuries. Through action mapping and analyzing injury reports, we unearthed real-life narratives, shaping scenarios where learners face decisions with real consequences.
Accessibility was paramount. We included closed captions and audio description for videos. Non-consensual sound is accounted for, giving screen reader users the option for manual play. And a transcript option is provided. Ensuring inclusivity without compromising engagement.
Colleagues enthusiastically participated as actors, adding authenticity and fostering a positive learning environment. Learners appreciated recognizing peers in the videos, enhancing their overall experience.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Learners valued the course for its brevity yet comprehensive content, providing an immersive platform to practice and learn from mistakes, thereby translating theory into practical skills.
This project exemplifies our commitment to transforming content delivery into impactful learning experiences that resonate with learners and achieve tangible results in injury reduction.
